In this episode, I answer questions from Instagram (@huntfitness)
Here are the questions:
Q1: joe_tsa - Where do you see the direction of the fitness industry going next?
Q2: ashlynbrierre - Which is easier on your knees front or back squats?
Q3: mo_a89 - Implementing controlled cardio in a powerbuilding program a good idea?
Q4: i_am_ray_wong - When should one reset their day's macros if for example one has a a few overnight shifts throughout the week. Keep it consistent and reset macros when it's a new day or dependent on person sleep cycle.
Q5: bee_stayfit - Are you going to train for another meet in the near future?
Q6: brandonpapp_ - When do you recommend moving up in a weight class?
Q7: nicholasjames45 – My question is about chest press form and the high arch. I see a lot of people giving people a hard time about the huge arch. What is the right form to use to get strength on your bench? My other question is when is okay to take your butt off the bench when your pressing? I saw you do it a couple times in your past videos. I do it sometimes too but I've been trying not too.
Q8: chrisgates14 – I got into training late -- not until my late 20's. I've heard people suggest that being late to the game effects the amount of progress & gains you can make in the gym (you miss the major growth period in your teens/early 20's, testosterone levels decrease, etc). Is that true? If so, how drastically?
Q9: 8talltines - Do you think your podcast would be successful if you didn't already have a following on another platform? Reason for my question is, I want to start a hunting podcast, but I don't have a following on any other platform. Thank you for your input!
Q10: gijohns3 - Best way to incorporate cardio in a routine? And also where do get epic swim trunks haha
Q11: americanbeauty37 - How do you implement an 80/20 IIFYM approach to eating? More specifically do you calculate 80% of each macro or can the 80% be determined from total calories?
Q12: edwardgardner6190 - How strong are you?
Q13: yuryk0877 - What kind of mobility/warmup/stretching drills do you incorporate pre-workout (upper and lower body) and what post-workout routines do you do for better recovery after lifting?
Q14: erickmandoval - What's your biggest problem with the fitness industry today?
Q15: corey_perfection – Did your chest get that big just from benching all these years?
Q16: wavvy.boy - Best excessive for legs and calfs.
Q17: rubenbrammer - How do you do your HIIT? If you do HIIT?
Q18: tcpower_91 - Thoughts on the Wendler 5/3/1 program?
Q19: grambi00 - Have you ever had a massage before? Sports massage? Deep tissue? If so, did you find them helpful, especially with lifting?

In this episode, I sit down with Gary Vee's old trainer, Mike Vacanti. Mike has an interesting story that I know you are going to enjoy! We started off the show talking about caffeine consumption. How much caffeine do we drink? How much is too much...can there ever be too much lol? Next we dug into our early days of fitness, what is the learning process of a fitness pro? You might be surprised! Next, we ventured into social media a little bit. We talked about the pros/cons and why most people are program hopping on life! Lastly, we talk about the importance of learning if you can take a punch for real and in life. (the end is my favorite).

Questions from the show:
1 Alain: What are your thoughts on the highly popularized YouTube strength standards (bench 225, squat 315, and deadlift 405 -all for reps)? Realistic?
2 Nick: (1) You're thoughts on expos like the Arnold? And would you ever have a booth or complete there? (2) Dumbbells vs barbells, should you do both? (3) How important is stretching and warming up? Specially to prevent injury or to improve your lifts? (4) What is the top necessary equipment you need to bring to the gym?
3 Mike: How important is sleep for training?
4 Ian and Don: Would love some advice/guidance on nutrition and eating on a day of a powerlifting meet. (24 hour vs 2 hour)
5 A Few People: How to decide what weight class to compete in?
6 John: Hey Kyle my question is about social media. I am designing a trading card game similar to yugioh or Pokémon if you have ever played those and I'm trying to get a bigger following what is the best way to do that? Second question is that I'm designing a bodybuilding card game where you collect meals sleep and workouts to get your "gainz" lol do you ever play board games and would you play one about bodybuilding?
7 Kurt: How often do you feel DOMS after your workouts?
8 Victor: What is your take on Christian McCafferys 10 reps on the bench press portion of the NFL combine? Does it accurately depict his future at the running back position?
9 Mitch: I had the question about why powerlifters, bodybuilders, etc. don't incorporate wild game into their diet? Lower fat content and organic.
10 A few people asked: I do powerlifting programs but I wanna grow my arms. How would you go about combining the two?
11 Issac: Thanks for answering my previous question! I would like to ask what to do when I get buried by linear progression, should I move on to periodization? For a little bit of context my lifts are definitely what most people would call novice, but I am a small guy (48kg).
12 Ethan: What was your motivation when you started cross fit and would you ever consider going back to it?
